ACCIONA rewards best project management practices

The awards, now in their 11th year, are intended to recognise the collaboration and commitment of the company's employees to management excellence.

ACCIONA Infraestructuras delivered its annual Project Management Awards which recognise excellence in different areas of project management such as quality, the environment, occupational risk prevention, technology, etc. The awards include Best Prevention Management, Best Quality and Environmental Management, Best R&D Technology Implementation, Best Innovative Action and Best Project Management, the latter of which is the main award that draws from all of the other categories.

Some of aspects that were considered in this eleventh edition included quality in construction processes and proposed improvements to environmental and quality management. The Best Prevention Management award is based on the prevention indicator for the last year and the degree to which this facet is integrated in overall project management. For the Best Project Management award, general aspects such as meeting deadlines, organisation, budget control and resource management are taken into account.

The Vice President of ACCIONA, Juan Ignacio Entrecanales; the Director of ACCIONA Infraestructuras in Latin America, Jesús Alcázar; the Director General of the Construction Area of ACCIONA Infraestructuras, Justo Vicente Pelegrini; the Director of the Construction and Materials Institute (INTEMAC), Enrique González Valle; the Vice President of the Spanish Environmental Impact Evaluation Association, (EIA) and the professor of the EOI School of Business, Manuel Díaz Martín, participated in the awards ceremony.

These awards are one of the ways in which ACCIONA acknowledges employees' collaboration and commitment to management excellence.
